Jobcentre Plus is a government-funded employment agency and social security office whose aim it is to help people of working age find employment in the UK.

Jobcentre Plus provides resources to enable job-searchers to find work. They offer information about training opportunities for the unemployed. You can also contact them to find out about the benefits and support you’re entitled to including; Tax Credits, Universal Credit, Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance, ESA and Pension Credit.

Progress2Work is an ESF Employability Support Programme for unemployed adults in Batley - focusing on BAME, Over 50s and those with disabilities. It is for those in need of confidence and skills building, or who may require a reintroduction to job applications after long-term unemployment.  Participants can be claiming benefits or not, and can be any education or experience level.

 

Progress2Work help to move socially excluded individuals closer to the labour market with an 'umbrella' of support. Participants can receive guidance, training and advice to help them move closer to a job, education or training. The programme includes therapeutic support, employability training, volunteering opportunities, and dedicated support from an Employment Key Worker. Whether participants are already looking for a job, or considering their next steps, the team can help build confidence and skills to achieve their goals.

   Richmond Fellowship Employment Service

Based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury but cover the whole of Kirklees.

Richmond Fellowship support people with mental health issues to get into Work, Training, Education or Volunteering with 1-1 support from their employment advisers and also offer a range of workshops to help people improve their mental wellbeing.
